Australian Standards Compliant

All Canterbury windows are manufactured to comply with Australian Standards, including AS2047 and AS1288. These standards ensure that all compliant products are manufactured and delivered to the prescribed standards, as tested by an independent NATA certified laboratory.

Canterbury recognises its moral responsibilities in providing a supply of products from renewable sources and accept our responsibilities in using re-growth timber. We only use suppliers who conform to international standards such as the International Tropical Timber Organisation (ITTO) guidelines, in an attempt to ensure that where possible, timber sourced is in accordance with local regulations governing the harvesting of timber.

Technical Superiority

Precision engineering enables Canterbury windows and doors to withstand 1000 pa wind pressure. Canterbury products can also be placed in far higher wind rating areas than many other windows. This feature is standard - not a special or custom-designed product.

Weatherseals are fitted as standard on Canterbury windows and doors (not including "hinged" doors and frames and Counterbalance Double Hung windows). This prevents draughts around the home, stops the sash from “rattling” in windy conditions, and prevents water ingress.

All window and door profiles are arrissed (no square edges) which allows lower preparation for painting and reduces the potential of damage to the brush. This in turn provides faster painting times, improved productivity and lower overall painting costs. The arrissing also ensures the product has smooth more modern lines that are damage and splinter resistant.
