Q. What styles of windows do you have?
A. Canterbury Windows and Doors manufacture all styles of window frames, from Awning to Double Hung, Casement and Fixed Windows. Colonial, Heritage, Federation and other Period styles can be created to suit your home or your specific requirements.
Q. Do you make special size windows?
A. Yes. Many of our special windows are one-of-a-kind. We can build a window to almost any shape, working from a simple sketch or from a CAD drawing. Every architectural mood can be catered for. From octagons to trapezoids, from ellipses to ovals, every shape is crafted with meticulous attention to detail.
Q. Does the glass at the bottom of a window need to be safety glass?
A. In most cases it does, although the type of glass may simply be thicker rather than being laminated or toughened. Our sales staff can advise you on these building requirements.
Q. Do you make a Bifold Door like I've seen on the television and in magazines?
A. Yes. Our range of Bifold Doors are very popular and allow you to open up your house when you want to, but still remain secure when you need to. In addition, Canterbury also manufacture a range of Bifold Windows to complement the door range.
Q. What is AS 2047?
A. An addition to the Building Code of Australia which requires all window manufacturers to clearly label each product with it's performance capabilities in respect to wind and water penetration. Canterbury Windows and Doors have been so labelled for over six years.
Q. How can I get a brochure of your window ranges and sizes?
A. Contact our offices by fax, phone or e-mail and we will forward a catalogue to you.
Q. What is PROTIM treatment?
A. Protim is a solvent based wood preservative that protects timber against many forms of insect attack, where the timber is used in aboveground applications. Canterbury Meranti windows are Protim Treated and therefore carry a 25 Year guarantee against insect and borer.
